DPOL a must-have device for your port

At EKKOPOL, we believe that water features should receive the same attention as streets: regular, systematic cleaning. The floating pollution in harbors doesn't have to be inevitable. In response to this problem, Ekkopol has designed the DPOL ®. This floating pump is now manufactured by the company in the Var region of France. The DPOL ® were written in conjunction with port managers. It operates day and night, without an operator, with minimal maintenance and low acquisition costs. It collects all floating pollutants, including hydrocarbons.

What is DPOL ®?

The DPOL ® is a floating waste pump that works by creating a strong surface current. It sucks up pollutants and stores them in a suitable net. It operates without human intervention once positioned in a waste accumulation zone. The DPOL ® can be lifted out of the water and moved by two people, without any equipment. It is therefore mobile. The DPOL® collects floating waste and hydrocarbons. The DPOL® operates continuously, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The DPOL® contains no electronics, for rock-solid reliability. DPOL® maintenance is as simple as cleaning twice a month with fresh water and changing the anodes. The DPOL® is the least expensive device on the market. Its low price means it can be fitted to even the smallest ports.

DPOL HYDROCARBON KIT

You've confined the hydrocabide slick to your port. Now all you have to do is collect it. The DPOL ® is the perfect tool for this. The DPOL has been tested at CEDRE® on hydrocarbons of different viscosities (2, 1000 and 13,000 cSt). These tests validated not only the DPOL ® 's excellent ability to swallow all these hydrocarbons, but also the optimum material configuration.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE ABSORBENTS

EKKOPOL offers you a range of absorbents chosen for their performance, resistance and suitability for DPOL. ®:
  • A skirted boom 6m long and 20cm in diameter,
  • An 85-liter polypropylene "spaghetti" bag with excellent absorption capacity.
With these 2 types of sorbent, you can collect a theoretical volume of 150 liters of hydrocarbons. EKKOPOL also offers booms with removable skirts, so you can dispose of only the boom and keep the skirt for later use after cleaning. All these products are DPOL-certified. ® compatible" and reinforce your "CLEAN PORT" label.
